SEE YOU AT THE PARTY
had a training today featuring lots of corporate videos about diversity and safety. one of the highlights was Charles Butt, the President of HEB stores. he was a highlight mostly for his insanely proportioned features. anyway, decided to jump on illustrator tonight and see if i could slap together a rendition of him from memory without looking at my sketchbook. 
(that's ol Charles Butt on the left. he was wearing a turtleneck in the videos we watched today.)

funny that the sketch i did during the video came out very different. it was good to sketch loose in pen and just kind of doodle. feel very rusty, but with school gearing up i should have no excuse to not get back on the wagon.

work work work
you might remember the bus ad i posted awhile back, well it was scrapped and this is it's replacement. 
finally finished tweaking my Don Quixote titling. got rid of the dark red because it looked bad w/ a black background. the project was to design a title for the film version of whatever book we were assigned. the type was built from the ground up. spent a lot of time making it all work. hopefully if i get some free time i can build out the rest of the alphabet. had a lot of fun doing that.
